Parenting Support
Ever wonder why kids don’t come with a handbook?
Ever hear “You’re the worst parent in the world!”?
Ever struggle with bedtime or homework routines? EVERYDAY!?
Ever think you must be the only one not getting this parenting thing right?
Ever worry that your child isn’t okay but you don’t know what is wrong or who to talk to?
I am here to help.
We will start by discussing what is functioning well in your parent-child relationship, then look at what’s not working. We are our kids’ whole world. Even if they would never admit it. Our job as parents is to keep them safe, emotionally and physically, using boundaries, validation, and empathy. They need us to be present, loving, secure, structured, and supportive. When we can model kindness, understanding, confidence, and self-love our kids will too. Equally important is our kids seeing us fail, admit our mistakes, apologize, and try again!
I work from a strengths-based model with parents helping them first understand YOU ARE NOT ALONE. Parenting can be a challenging and rewarding endeavor, and many parents seek guidance and support to navigate the complexities of raising children. I will provide personalized guidance and strategies for improving your parenting skills and your family dynamics.
Parenting support is not one-size-fits-all, and the type of support needed can vary greatly depending on the parent's circumstances and the child's age and needs. It's important for you to seek help when you feel overwhelmed or are facing challenging situations, as early intervention can often lead to better outcomes for both parents and children.
